Jacksons Food Stores in Carson City, NV is seeking a reliable Shift Lead / Head Cashier to oversee daily operations during assigned shifts. You will lead by example, deliver outstanding customer service, mentor teammates, and ensure smooth store execution.

This role requires flexibility for a 24/7 operation, prior supervisory experience in foodservice or retail, and a passion for guest satisfaction. You’ll help coach staff, manage tasks, and uphold safety and regulatory standards while advancing

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile, thank them for their business, and invite them back.
• Perform cashier duties, including ringing up sales, applying promotions, and ensuring accuracy.
• Provide fast, friendly service and promote store products and services.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including sales floor, coolers, pumps, and foodservice areas.
• Stock, rotate, and label shelves, coolers, and displays.
• Manage food service and beverage programs to maximize sales and compliance.
• Check in vendors and communicate as needed.
• Lead completion of key store tasks and support special projects.
• Assist with schedule adjustments and communicate changes to the Store Manager.
• Partner with Store and Assistant Managers to coach and motivate team members.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (alcohol, tobacco, Lotto, etc.).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
