Job summary

Five Guys in Gurnee, IL is seeking a Shift Leader to drive performance on each shift. You’ll lead by example, step in for management when needed, and ensure quick, accurate service and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).

• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room—no task is too small.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
