Job summary

LV Petroleum LLC in Columbia, SC is seeking a proactive Lead Cashier to join our team at the travel center on 99 PLUMBERS RD. You will supervise the cashier staff, ensure accurate and timely transactions, and deliver exceptional customer service during every shift.

Walk-in interviews are held weekdays 11am–4pm; you will lead a team, manage cash handling, inventory checks, and maintain a welcoming store environment while reporting performance to management.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cashier with supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Proficient in cash handling and basic math.
• Familiar with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Punctual and reliable; able to work varied shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

LV Petroleum is seeking proactive and experienced Lead Cashiers to join our team at various locations. As a Lead Cashier, you will be instrumental in managing the cashiering operations while providing exceptional customer service during every shift.

Job Overview:

Your role as a Lead Cashier will include supervising the cashier staff, ensuring accurate and timely transaction processing, and promoting a customer-focused atmosphere. You will act as a key point of contact for both customers and staff, fostering an efficient and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Supervise and support the cashier team, providing training and mentoring to help them achieve their best performance.
• Customer Service Excellence: Engage with customers to understand their needs, resolve issues, and ensure complete satisfaction.
• Transaction Accuracy: Oversee cash register operations, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Inventory Monitoring: Assist with inventory checks and help maintain appropriate stock levels at the cashier area.
• Store Presentation: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the cashier stations and sales floor.
