Job summary

Mo' Bettahs in Chicago, Illinois is seeking a Shift Lead who will be responsible for overseeing operations in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring a smooth running of shifts, and leading team members to deliver excellent customer service. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and have authorization to work in the US. The role offers flexible schedules, team member meals, and various insurance options for full-time employees.

Job description

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Shift Leads are trained to perform all the duties that Team Members do, with additional responsibility for ensuring a smooth‑running shift. This is especially important in the absence of the General Manager or Manager in Training (MIT) – as they assume that leadership role. They assist with ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation, including product preparation and delivery, customer relations, restaurant maintenance, team management and other duties as required or assigned. Shift Leads help lead the team in giving our customers the best experience with fast and accurate service.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be authorized to work in the US

WORKING CONDITIONS

Position requires qualified individuals to be able to see, hear and speak (verbally and audibly). Required to ascend and descend stairs; sit and stand for extended periods of time; be able to lift up to 30 pounds; bend, stoop and kneel. May be required to work outside in various weather conditions. May be required to work on a computer for extended periods of time, including viewing the screen, using a mouse, manipulating a keyboard and reaching with arms. May be asked to drive or travel by car, air, or other transportation for business purposes. Must be able to function effectively in a fast‑paced working environment. Must report to work responsive, free from sedatives, and in a non‑sedative state. Must disclose prescribed and/or over‑the‑counter pharmaceuticals that may impair or affect the ability to perform the job’s essential functions. Natural and regular stressors occur on the job.
