Job summary

The Nothing Bundt Cakes in New Jersey is seeking a Shift Bakery Manager to work with the Bakery Manager and team to deliver high-quality cakes, a warm guest experience, and strong store performance.

You will share in leadership duties, help drive sales, and ensure NbC standards across operations, while maintaining a hands-on role in cake production, merchandising, and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is a plus.
• 1-3 years of guest-facing experience in retail, restaurant or food service, preferably in a lead role with progressive managerial responsibilities.
• Proven track record coaching others to deliver a superior guest experience and achieve productivity goals.
• Basic proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook; comfortable learning new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes the guest experience, models engagement and fosters a positive work environment.
• Partners with the Bakery Manager in guest experience, cake production, presentation, work environment, P&L management, and inventory control.
• Supports recruiting, selecting and training team members and provides performance feedback and coaching.
• Ensures product, service, bakery environment and merchandising standards are upheld and health and safety policies followed.
• Assists with operational and administrative tasks including production plans, scheduling, inventory, payroll processing and expense control.
• Co-manages special-order fulfillment for individuals and corporate accounts, including large orders and deliveries.
• Co-facilitates opening/closing of the bakery, cash handling and deposits.
• Contributes to local marketing by coordinating and participating in brand-building events.
• Maintains hands-on knowledge of all bakery roles to respond to business needs.
