Shepherd's Automotive in Bradenton, FL is seeking a skilled B Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems with no weekend shifts.

Join our team to use diagnostic equipment, read schematics, and deliver high-quality service while keeping a clean, safe workspace and providing excellent customer communication. Hours are 8AM-6PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; automotive tech training preferred.
• Proven experience as a technician or similar role.
• Must have own tools and be proficient with diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

The B Technician will play a crucial role in performing maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring the optimal functioning of equipment and vehicles. The successful candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment, vehicles, or machinery to identify potential issues and ensure proper functioning.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical problems and develop effective solutions.
• Perform repairs, replacements, and adjustments on mechanical components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering systems.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools to troubleshoot complex issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate repair schedules and ensure efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment.
• Document all repairs, maintenance procedures, and parts used accurately and efficiently.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while working to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and techniques to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing clients' concerns and inquiries in a professional manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Technical or vocational training/certification in automotive technology or related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a technician, mechanic, or similar role.
• Must have own tools
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools for mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, vehicle components, and repair techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Effective communication skills to interact with team members and clients.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Physical stamina and agility to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
