Job summary

OneEighty, Inc. in Wooster, OH is seeking a part-time Shelter Support Specialist to provide case management and crisis intervention for survivors of domestic violence.

The role oversees the general functioning of the Shelter and supports residents with safety planning and resource linkage. The position is PRN with weekend hours, pays $18.00 starting per hour plus shift differentials, and requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Associate degree in Social Services, preferred.
  • If in recovery must have two years of continuous sobriety.
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver License and maintain a driving record that allows the individual to be insurable with the insurance company providing OneEighty’s vehicle insurance.
  • Must be certified in CPR and First Aid or able to attain certification.
  • Must be trained in administering Narcan.
  • Ability to use a computer; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel.
  • Ability to facilitate and maintain productive communication while maintaining a professional relationship with clients and coworkers.
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Ability to relate to people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and manage crisis.
  • Must maintain appropriate boundaries with clients as set forth in Agency Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide case management and crisis intervention for survivors of domestic violence and to oversee the general functioning of the Shelter.
  • Work Schedule: PRN, up to 16 hours a week, some weekend hours may be required.
  • Immediate Supervisor: Shelter Services Manager.

Welcome to OneEighty a safe place, a source of hope and new direction. We’re a private, non-profit organization dedicated to helping people in and around Wayne and Holmes counties in Ohio. We provide comprehensive addiction, domestic violence, mental health and behavioral health services and operate multiple care facilities throughout our service areas.

We are seeking to hire PT16 3rd shift weekend, and PRN (as needed), Shelter Support Specialists to provide case management and crisis intervention for survivors of domestic violence and to oversee the general functioning of the Shelter.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Associate degree in Social Services, preferred.

Immediate Supervisor: Shelter Services Manager

Pay: 18.00 starting pay, plus $2 shift differential for 2nd shift hours, and $1 shift differential for 3rd shift hours. Increases dependent on education, certification, and experience.
