The American Red Cross - Georgia Region is seeking a Shelter Resident Transition Service Associate to support disaster relief operations. This operational role helps shelter residents identify resources and create an individualized action plan to move from shelter to sustainable living.
Working within disaster recovery, you will help households overcome transition roadblocks, document needs, and coordinate steps toward safe housing and recovery.
The Shelter Resident Transition (SRT) Service Associate (SA) is an operational position and is assigned temporarily, typically on level 4 and above disaster relief operations (DROs). SRT Caseworkers work with shelter residents to understand their resources and transition roadblocks to help households create an individualized action plan so that they can transition from the shelter to a more sustainable living solution. This position supports the mission of the American Red Cross by helping individuals and households more quickly transition from a shelter, thus alleviating human suffering by shortening the time of their disaster-caused displacement and jumpstarting their longer-term recovery.
