Camden County Board of Commissioners is seeking a Kennel Technician to provide daily care for animals at Camden County Animal Control. This role involves cleaning, disinfecting rooms, feeding, monitoring health, and supporting adoptions and rescue connections to help animals find homes.

The position emphasizes compassionate care, enrichment, and safe handling of animals, with work up to 29 hours per week and adherence to Georgia Department of Agriculture guidelines.

Formación

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Willingness to work with animals and adhere to safety guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Clean, disinfect, and sanitize cages and related areas daily.
• Feed animals and monitor eating habits.
• Observe health and behavior; report concerns to supervisor.
• Assist with animal handling and enrichment activities.
• Support spay/neuter intake and adoption processes.
• Maintain inventory and cleanliness of holding rooms.
• Ensure proper labeling and identification of cages and animals.
• Assist with shelter grounds maintenance and cleaning.
