Job summary

Goodwill of Colorado seeks a Campus Coordinator to foster a safe, supportive atmosphere and to guide guests toward stability and growth through compassionate engagement and supervision.

The role covers intake, shelter operations, day resource center activities, and campus safety. You will manage guest relations, coordinate services, and document progress while coordinating with staff and volunteers to support the mission.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
  • Experience in Christian recovery, addiction recovery, or faith-based services preferred.
  • Shelter/housing environment experience valued.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred, or ability to obtain.
  • Candidates in recovery must demonstrate two years of sobriety.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate guest admissions, registrations, and intake processes.
  • Coordinate shelter placements and monitor guest transitions.
  • Prepare detailed shift summaries, activity logs, and operational reports.
  • Observe surveillance cameras and document campus activity.
  • Maintain clear, factual, and timely documentation in accordance with standards.
  • Support volunteers and staff during service activities.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned; duties may evolve.

Work Schedule: 3 shifts are available- 4 days on 3 days off (10 hour days)

Job Summary

The Campus Coordinator contributes to a safe and supportive atmosphere by encouraging respect, clear communication, and personal responsibility. Through a combination of compassionate engagement and consistent oversight, they help individuals navigate their path toward stability and growth.

Campus Coordinators Rotate Through Key Operational Assignments, Including
  • Centralized intake and access control through the Welcome Center
  • Daily shelter management and resident support
  • Day resource center operations and service coordination
  • Campus presence, guest engagement, and safety patrols
  • Security camera observation and documentation of campus activity
Essential Functions
Guest Services & Operations
  • Facilitate guest admissions, registrations, and intake processes while ensuring records are complete and up to date.
  • Coordinate shelter placements and monitor guest transitions throughout the campus to support smooth daily operations.
  • Prepare detailed shift summaries, activity logs, and operational reports.
  • Observe and monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras, to help maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Initiate maintenance requests and technology support tickets as operational needs arise.
  • Maintain clear, factual, and timely documentation in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Contribute to efficient campus operations by upholding high service standards and supporting the organization's mission.
Guest Engagement & Support
  • Build positive relationships with guests by offering encouragement while reinforcing personal accountability and responsibility.
  • Communicate policies, procedures, and expectations in a respectful, consistent, and professional manner.
  • Provide spiritual encouragement and prayer support when requested by guests.
  • Connect guests with appropriate programs and services through timely referrals and coordinated transitions to program staff.
  • Help foster an environment that promotes stability, growth, and positive life change.
  • Support volunteers by providing guidance, information, and assistance during guest interactions and service activities.
  • Participate in required meetings, trainings, and organizational communications to stay informed and aligned with campus priorities.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned. Duties and responsibilities may be adjusted to meet evolving organizational and operational needs.

Safety & Campus Operations
  • Promote compliance with campus, shelter, and program policies to maintain a secure and orderly environment.
  • Proactively identify concerns and address issues before they elevate, helping minimize disruptions to campus operations.
  • Establish and maintain professional boundaries while cultivating positive relationships with guests.
  • Follow established protocols regarding guest removal, behavioral concerns, and incident response, communicating actions promptly to leadership.
  • Effectively de-escalate challenging situations and respond appropriately to behavioral issues.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain required records in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Conduct routine facility, safety, and security inspections throughout the campus.
  • Follow approved safety procedures and avoid physical intervention unless specifically authorized by policy.
  • Utilize trauma-informed practices when supporting guests and responding to sensitive situations.
  • Demonstrate emotional intelligence, professionalism, and effective decision-making in both routine and high-stress situations.
Operational Excellence
  • Support efficient day-to-day campus operations through proactive problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Ensure assigned tasks and responsibilities are completed accurately, consistently, and on schedule.
  • Maintain strong communication with team members by sharing important updates, observations, and concerns.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for guests, staff, volunteers, and visitors.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality services that align with the organization's mission, values, and commitment to serving the community.

Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
  • Experience working in a Christian recovery, addiction recovery, or faith-based human services environment is preferred.
  • Previous experience in shelter services, recovery programs, behavioral health, hospitality, law enforcement, crisis response, or other mission-driven care environments is highly valued.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or the ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
  • Candidates who identify as being in recovery must demonstrate a minimum of two years of continuous sobriety.
