Job summary

Environmental Air Systems is seeking a sheet metal supervisor to plan, coordinate, and lead all sheet metal activities on assigned projects. You will manage a team, ensure quality, safety, and adherence to schedules and budgets.

The role requires 3–5 years of sheet metal experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity, strong blueprint-reading skills, and OSHA 30 certification. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential for successful collaboration with project

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of sheet metal experience, including supervisory duties
• 3+ years in a supervisory or superintendent role
• High school diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship preferred
• OSHA 30 construction certification obtained within the last 5 years
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work in environments with high heat/cold and noise

Responsibilities:Plan, coordinate, and supervise all sheet metal activities on assigned projects, ensuring they are completed according to specifications, schedules, and budgets.Lead and manage a team of sheet metal workers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality work and efficient operations.Monitor and inspect work to ensure it meets industry standards and project specifications, making necessary adjustments and corrections as needed.Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment.Allocate and manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize efficiency and productivity.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, other trades, and clients to ensure seamless project execution and address any issues or changes in project scope.Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, progress reports, material usage, and timekeeping.Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the course of the project, providing practical solutions to maintain project timelines.Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices to continually improve operations and maintain a competitive edge.Education Requirements/Qualifications:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sheet metal work, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in sheet metal work is preferred.Job Requirements/Special Skills:Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.In-depth knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and installation techniques.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibelsOSHA 30 construction certification obtained within the last 5 years is required.
