Job summary

Comfort Systems USA – Ohio is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Installer to join our Mechanical Construction team. You will install commercial and industrial HVAC ductwork, read blueprints, and work safely on active job sites with a skilled field team.

Responsibilities include fabricating sheet metal, using hand and power tools, reading plans, and coordinating with leadership. A valid driver’s license and OSHA 10 are preferred, with opportunities for growth and long-term career development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience installing commercial or industrial HVAC sheet metal systems.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal installation methods, tools, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and construction plans.
• Ability to accurately use a tape measure and perform basic construction-related calculations.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other construction equipment.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Dependable, safety-focused, and committed to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a construction team.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

• Install hangers, supports, duct connections, fittings, and related mechanical system components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and installation plans.
• Measure, cut, drill, punch, and fit sheet metal materials to meet project requirements.
• Work from ladders, lifts, and other equipment at various heights.
• Coordinate with project leadership and other trades to support efficient installation and project completion.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site while following OSHA and company safety requirements.
