Job summary

Quad/Graphics in Franklin, WI seeks a Press Assistant to support First and Second Press Operators, assist with setup, cleaning, and monitor press output. Wages start between $17.50 - $19.50 per hour, based on knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions.

We offer 8-hour night shift options (Mon-Fri 9:00 PM–5:00 AM with a $3.00 shift premium). Join a team that produces folding cartons and blister cards with modern equipment and strong safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the equipment platform.
• Solid Continuous Improvement background.
• Expertise in all technologies of Production equipment.
• Expert mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of production equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated to lead, model, and direct leaders' and crew members' efforts to maintain schedule and deadlines.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in writing and speaking.
• Must be prompt, reliable and able to work overtime as required.
• Ability to organize and manage people effectively.
• Lift 10–15 pounds continuously, up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for operation by checking order documentation and making make-ready setup.
• Operate the Sheeting Machine and monitor operations; adjust position, speed, and pressure as needed.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment during shift.
• Complete quality checks and paperwork to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform line clearance and clean assigned area after each order.
