Job summary

Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) seeks a skilled technician to perform metal repair, fabrication, and assembly of aircraft components in the MRO Production Department across multiple fleets. You will work from drawings and manuals, with supervision from higher graded mechanics, handling disassembly and assembly tasks and helping mentor junior artisans.

The role is an entry-level position with 0-3 years experience, offering hourly pay and on-site work at Fleet

Position Description

This position is located in the Production Lines Division, MRO Production Department at Fleet Readiness Centers (FRC) East, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and/or Southwest. Incumbent performs a variety of metal repair, fabrication, plan, layout, and structural disassembly/ assembly of aircraft and aircraft components. They assist higher graded mechanics in the full range of their duties.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• Incumbent shall work from drawings, manuals, technical directives, instructions, and at times,under the guidance of a higher-graded mechanic.


• The incumbent will disassemble, repair, assemble, modify, measure, and/or check, as required, to process aircraft, aircraft engine structures, components, assembles, and/or sub-assemblies.


• May be required to train and/or mentor other artisans at the same or lower level.

Minimum Salary

$26.35 hourly

Maximum Salary

$30.74 hourly
