Job summary

MSS Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic - Mechanical for on-site work in Myrtle Beach, SC. You will read blueprints, lay out and install sheet metal, and coordinate with other trades to ensure projects meet safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the mechanical contracting business as a sheet metal mechanic.
• Ability to layout and install sheet metal.
• Knowledge of local codes, standards and job-related specifications.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Physical ability for heavy lifting and long periods standing.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints to determine how and when to install a sheet metal product.
• Recognize, setup and operate hand and power tools.
• Assemble material to complete the final product.
• Measure duct work, draw up fittings, create a material list and identify standard code.
• Assist with complex layout activities.
• Fasten joints and seams.
• Modify duct work and field fabrication and understand duct fabrications.
• Communicate with other trades to ensure productivity and problem solving.
• Identify and communicate issues.
• Collaborate with other workers to complete project.
