Job summary

Precision Coils in Longview, TX is seeking a Production Team Lead to ensure safety and productivity on the designated shift and to execute the production schedule in a timely, cost-efficient manner.

You will oversee sheet metal fabrication operations, verify materials and tooling, coordinate with Coil Build, Materials, Quality, and Maintenance, and drive continuous improvement while training and guiding team members.

• Identify opportunities to reduce scrap and improve efficiency.
• Monitor sheet metal inventory usage and report shortages.
• Support implementation of new equipment and tooling.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of sheet metal materials.

General Summary:

The Production Team Lead is responsible for the safety and productivity of production employees staffed on a designated shift. The Team Leader is accountable for ensuring that the production schedule for completion is executed in a timely manner.

General Duties

• Ensure sheet metal components are manufactured to engineering specifications and production requirements.
• Verify materials, tooling, and equipment are available and properly maintained to support production schedules.
• Monitor setup and operation of sheet metal equipment and assist operators in resolving process-related issues.
• Coordinate with Coil Build, Materials, Quality, and Maintenance departments to maintain production flow.
• Identify opportunities to reduce scrap, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality within sheet metal operations.
• Monitor sheet metal inventory usage and communicate material shortages or production constraints.
• Support implementation of new equipment, tooling, and process improvements within the department.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of sheet metal materials to prevent damage and maintain product quality.
