Job summary

Tecta America Colorado is seeking a Sheet Metal Laborer to support our shop operations. The role involves installing and assembling sheet metal products using brakes, shears, drills, and presses, with emphasis on quality and safety.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in sheet metal fabrication or related fields and are willing to learn. You may be required to pass background checks and a drug screen, and must be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record. Overtime and weekend work possible.

Qualifications

• . 1-2 years in sheet metal fabrication/installation preferred.
• Bi-lingual preferred.
• Clean driving record preferred.
• Must be 21+ for insurance purposes (Required).
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check (required).
• Proficiency in sheet metal tools and reading drawings.
• Familiarity with cutting, bending, assembling processes.
• Understanding of safety procedures in fabrication/installation.

Description

Tecta America Colorado is seeking a Sheet Metal Laborer to assist in our shop. The ideal candidate should be familiar with mechanical breaks, shears and other fabrication tools and processes but are willing to train. Candidate must be available to work Monday- Friday (overtime and weekends possible but not frequent).

Your Duties:

• Install and assemble sheet metal products using brakes, shears, drills, and presses
• Assists in inspecting fabricated parts to ensure quality, precision and accuracy standards are met.
• Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and machines
• Ability to perform tasks that require physical stamina such as lifting and moving materials, hand tools, shop/warehouse and construction environment

Knowledge and Skills:

• 1-2 years in sheet metal fabrication/installation or related fields (Preferred)
• Bi-lingual (preferred)
• Clean driving record (preferred)
• Must be 21+ for insurances purposes (Required)
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check (required)
• Proficiency in using sheet metal fabrication tools such as shears, presses, drills and reading technical drawings
• Familiarity with various processes (cutting, bending, assembling)
• Understanding of safety procedures in fabrication/installation

Working Conditions:

• Construction site environment with exposure to loud noise, various weather conditions, heat, and various equipment
• Walking, lifting, bending, reaching, operating machinery, climbing ladders
• Being mindful of workplace accidents, injuries, and potential safety concerns

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will use hands, have to talk, and hear. The employee is also required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
