Job summary

Feldkamp Enterprises is seeking a Sheet Metal Laborer to support on commercial projects in the Cincinnati, OH area. You will assist journeymen with HVAC ductwork installation, hangers, fittings, and equipment, while loading, unloading, and organizing tools and materials.

Travel across the greater Cincinnati Tri-State area is required. The role emphasizes learning shop drawings, safety protocols, and basic blueprints.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of construction or sheet metal experience.
• Ability to read basic blueprints or layouts.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Clear communication to all levels inside/outside the company.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of HVAC ductwork, hangers, fittings, supports, and equipment.
• Load, unload, transport, and organize sheet metal tools and materials.
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Assist with layouts and prep jobsite; install prefabricated ductwork.
• Learn basics of commercial sheet metal/HVAC and how to read blueprints.

This job does require travelling across the greater Cincinnati Tri-State area (sites will vary based on the job)

General Description

The Sheet Metal Laborer is directly responsible for working on jobsites assigned by their Project Manager. They will be required to work directly under the Commercial Sheet Metal Journeymen and provide support to Sheet Metal Apprentices. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Assist with installation of HVAC ductwork, hangers, fittings, supports, and equipment.
• Load, unload, transport, and organize sheet metal tools and materials.
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Assist with layouts prep jobsite and install prefabricated ductwork.
• Learn and understand the basics of commercial sheet metal/HVAC.
• Learn and understand how to read blueprints and layouts.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of construction or sheet metal experience.
• Understand and use hand tools (tape measure, pipe wrenches, hammers, screw drivers, etc.)
• Be able and willing to handle power tools in a safe manner.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a professional manner to all levels inside and outside the company.
• Operate in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements (wear proper PPE, keep worksite organized, safe, and free of hazards).
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work at heights.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
