Job summary

Benton Roofing is seeking a full-time fabricator to join our warehouse team in Flat Rock, NC. You will set up and operate metal fabrication equipment, read blueprints, and fabricate sheet metal according to specifications.

You will determine materials, maintain tools, and uphold safety and quality policies while assisting coworkers as needed. The role requires the ability to lift 40–75 lbs, dependability, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Ability and willingness to learn
• Capable of lifting 40–75 lbs
• Knowledge of metal fabrication machinery and tools
• Ability to read prints and construction drawings
• Mechanically inclined and able to work independently
• Self-motivated with good organizational skills
• Dependable and punctual
• Good communication and positive attitude
• Valid Driver's License
• Forklift license preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate fabricating equipment safely
• Fabricate commercial sheet metal per blueprints and specs
• Determine scope of work and materials from blueprints
• Maintain work area and shop tools/equipment
• Follow safety, environmental, and quality policies and practices
• Assist coworkers as needed
