Job summary

ALLNEX in Willow Island, West Virginia seeks a detail-oriented Safety, Health and Environmental Manager to lead site SHE initiatives, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while overseeing health and environmental programs.

You will manage certifications (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, RCMS), deliver training, and collaborate across levels to strengthen safety culture and emergency response readiness. This role requires 5–7 years in SHE within manufacturing, preferably chemical.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of SHE experience in a manufacturing environment (chemical preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local SHE regulations, including environmental permitting and reporting.
  • Experience interacting with auditors, regulatory agencies, and government officials, as well as managing regulatory inspections and compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership driving site-wide SHE programs and cross-functional initiatives (PHA, PSSR, audits, investigations).
  • Experience delivering safety training and promoting a strong safety culture across a manufacturing organization.
  • Ability to assess operational risks, develop mitigation strategies, and support emergency response activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all site Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) initiatives within the chemical manufacturing environment, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance.
  • Monitor evolving laws/regulations and advise leadership; manage calendar, deadlines, and reports (e.g., MON, LDAR).
  • Oversee SHE Management System certifications (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, RCMS) and drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion safety culture; deliver SHE training and lead Process Safety Management activities.
  • Serve as primary site contact for emergencies; develop occupational health program with medical providers.
  • Participate in Hazard Evaluation Lab analyses to determine safe operating limits and enhance SHE programs.
  • Strengthen safety and compliance by reducing incidents; drive risk reduction strategies.
