Job summary

Trinity Consultants seeks a Senior Shared Services Manager to lead cross-functional operations in the Western US Water and Ecology program. The role oversees staff development, budgeting, and KPI-driven performance across accounting, data analytics, fleet management, safety, contracts, and QA/QC.

Tucson, AZ is preferred, with consideration for Phoenix, AZ; Reno, NV; or Gig Harbor, WA. The candidate should bring 8+ years of leadership, a relevant degree, and strong budgeting/strategic planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience in budgeting and strategic planning.
• Ability to manage budgets, resources, and performance metrics effectively.
• Experience with project delivery practices and quality control systems.
• Familiarity with accounting, contracts, data analytics, and logistics.
• Ability to foster collaboration across offices, departments, and business units.

Responsibilities

• Mentor shared services staff and manage BU performance to the annual plan.
• Lead monthly Shared Services Department meetings and gather feedback from BU Departments.
• Engage with Trinity Financial, Systems, Safety and IT Leaders.
• Monitor resources, approve new hires, and manage resource leveling.
• Establish KPIs and oversee operational elements of tactical and strategic plans.
• Oversee staffing, recruiting, and HR coordination with leadership.
• Ensure QA/QC processes and technical standards are met across units.
• Develop and manage annual budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Trinity is looking to add a Shared Services Manager to their western US based Water and Ecology program. The Shared Services Manager leads a cross-functional department and provides business unit leadership across operations. This role oversees department staff development and strategic direction while fostering alignment with company mission, vision, and values. Multiple programs and cross-function teams that support the entire business unit report to this role including accounting/project controls, data analytics, fleet management and logistics, safety, contracts, and quality control. The Shared Services Manager also partners with corporate and divisional leadership to implement strategic and operational plans and ensure company performance goals are met. Tucson, AZ, is the preferred location for this role however candidates local to Phoenix, AZ., Reno, NV., or Gig Habor, WA. will also be considered.

What will I be doing?

• Provide leadership by mentoring shared services staff, managing Business Unit (BU) performance to annual plan, addressing conflicts, and maintaining active communication with employees and corporate leadership.
• Lead monthly Shared Services Department meetings and engage feedback from all BU Departments.
• Engage and maintain a good relationship with Trinity Financial, Systems, Safety and IT Leaders.
• Monitor resources, approve new hires, and proactively manage resources leveling.
• Guide business unit operations by establishing and maintaining KPIs, monitoring Business Unit performance, and implementing operational elements of the tactical and strategic plan.
• Manage department and staffing needs, working with HR and leadership on recruiting, utilization, and resource allocation.
• Oversee training programs to ensure staff have safety and technical skills and tools to support project teams.
• Partner with quality leaders to establish and implement QA/QC processes and ensure technical products meet company standards.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, monitor spending, and identify cost-saving measures while meeting department and company financial goals.
• Learn from subject matter experts on team about our ERP system, accounting process and controls, data management and reporting, project/field activities, and project management. Align and unify these elements to common goals, improved efficiency, and better insight to operate the business.
• Demonstrate self-management by modeling professionalism, supporting company policies, promoting collaboration, and proactively addressing operational issues.
• Provide leadership through coaching a variety of program and group leads and foster employee engagement.
• Monitor budget projections, discipline direction, and risk management.
• Promote a collaborative, service-oriented workplace culture.
• Ensure professional behavior, compliance with policies, and proactive communication.

What qualifications are required for this role?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field required.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a supervisory and leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in business cross-functional team management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
• Ability to manage budgets, resources, and performance metrics effectively.
• Experience with project delivery practices and quality control systems.
• General experience with accounting, contracts, data analytics, and logistics.
• Ability to foster collaboration across offices, departments, and business units.

The Salary range for this position is $110,000 - $150,000 annually depending on education and experience.
