Job summary

HDR is seeking a SH&E Process and Systems Manager to lead development of SH&E workflows, reporting, and data management. You will automate routine tasks, oversee dashboards, and align SH&E tools with operational needs, collaborating with leaders and IT to deliver effective safety programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in SH&E related field, 10+ years of SH&E experience, and professional certifications. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential in HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related field is required.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Safety Health and Environmental fields is required.
  • Certification in SH&E fields (CIH, CSP, ASP, CHMM, CHST, GSP or equivalent) is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA and ANSI standards.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong teamwork with written and verbal communication to support SH&E policy.

  • Lead the development and improvement of SH&E workflows, reporting, and information management.
  • Automate routine tasks to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
  • Oversee SH&E data, analytics, dashboards, metrics, and performance reporting.
  • Create forms, templates, and automated workflows for SH&E programs.
  • Develop standards, guidance, and training for SH&E data, reporting, and digital solutions.
  • Partner with SH&E leaders and stakeholders to align tools with needs.
  • Liaise between IT and SH&E and serve as SH&E project manager.

In the role of SH&E Process and Systems Manager, we will count on you to:
  • Lead the development and improvement of SH&E workflows, reporting, and information management.
  • Simplify and automate routine tasks to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
  • Oversee SH&E data, analytics, dashboards, metrics, and performance reporting.
  • Create forms, templates, and automated workflows that support SH&E programs.
  • Develop standards, guidance, and training for SH&E data, reporting, and digital solutions.
  • Partner with SH&E leaders and business stakeholders to align SH&E tools with operational and business needs.
  • Liaison between IT and SH&E and serve as SH&E project manager for related projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in safety, engineering, information systems, data analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience leading business process improvement, reporting, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Understanding of occupational safety and health programs and business operations.
  • Experience developing dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Experience with business systems, workflow automation, reporting platforms, databases, and data integrations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene or other related field
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in Safety Health and Environmental field
  • Certification in one or more SH&E fields such as (Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), (GSP) Graduate Safety Practitioner, or equivalent SH&E Project/Program Management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA & ANSI regulatory standards
  • Knowledge and application of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software
  • Team-oriented with proven oral and written skills to support company SH&E policy and procedural requirements
  • Experienced and proven leadership skills necessary to effectively manage a staff in support of company SH&E requirements
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
