Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida seeks a Registered Nurse for PRN Day shifts. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, document data, and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

You will mindfully implement care plans, monitor patient responses, and support timely admissions, discharges, and transfers according to hospital policy. A valid RN license and BLS certification are required, with at least two years in an acute hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must have RN license with active status.
• Two years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Fluent English reading, speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical thinking to assess patient care and revise plans based on outcomes.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents data timely.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to facilitate admissions, discharges and transfers.

Job Description

Demonstrates critical thinking skills appropriate to patient's level of care. Collects and documents patient health data systematically and timely. Conducts thorough, ongoing assessments of patients, analyzes assessment data and develops individualized, evidence-based plans of care to optimize outcomes in alignment with interdisciplinary goals. Implements interventions from the plan of care safely, timely, and appropriately, documenting actions taken. Collaborates and promotes timely patient placement by following hospital policy for patient admission, discharge, and transfer.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• - Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes. [Required]
• - Basic computer skills - must be able to navigate Microsoft windows based programs. [Required]
• - Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills) [Required]
• - 2 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting. [Required]
