Job summary

Swissport is hiring a Ramp Lead Agent to supervise and guide ramp staff, ensuring safe, timely load/unload operations in a fast-paced aviation environment.

The role requires leading a team, reviewing load sheets, and coordinating with airline customers while maintaining safety and professionalism on the ramp. A valid driver's license and at least 1 year in the field are required, with flexibility across shifts and weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Lead experience in supervising teams on ramp operations.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating staff and airline teams.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 70 pounds and operate required equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret load sheets and load/unload aircraft per customer and Swissport/FAA guidelines.
• Direct and train a team of ramp agents to perform duties safely and efficiently.
• Maintain safety, asset integrity, and professional image at all times.
• Lead the baggage make-up process and ensure airline specifications are met.
• Provide ongoing supervision and guidance to the ramp crew.

Job Summary

Ramp Lead Agent leads and directs the work of employees involved in the operation, providing training and instruction to ensure quality work is performed. Read and interpret load sheets and load/unload A/C per customer instructions. Capable of operating all equipment as well as performing some staff duties. Working manager of a group of ramp agents and shall assist them in performing duties.

The expected pay rate is $25.26-$27.80/hour. Full-time employees are offered a range of health and wellness benefits as well as 401(k) with company match paid vacation time, sick time, and company paid holidays.

Your activities

• Load/unload processes per customer/Swissport/FAA guidelines.
• Ensure Safety and Integrity of Customer and Swissport assets during operations.
• Ensure image and professionalism are displayed at all times by staff.
• Maintain a discipline work environment per company rules and regulations
• Manage baggage make up process according to airline specifications
• Lead all agents performing all stated above

Your profile

• Should possess some lead experience
• Valid driver's license
• Good communication skills
• Minimum 1 year experience in the field
• Must be able to work in inclement weather
• Flexible to work on various shifts (days, evening, nights, weekends, and holidays)
• Excellent Health & Safety awareness
• Lift heavy objects that could reach 70 pounds (32 kilograms)
