Job summary

Carhartt, Inc. is seeking a Craft Module Operator (Sewing Operator) to work on-site in the Domestic Sewing department. The role supports daily production, adheres to safety and quality standards, and reports to the Production Supervisor.

Location is Domestic Sewing with an onsite FLSA status of Non-Exempt and a union job band. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and emphasizes basic math, reading, attention to detail, and sewing operation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily manufacturing operations, including sewing, repair, cutting, inspecting, packing and shipping of products.
• Maintain quality and production goals; monitor attendance.
• Visually inspect material during sewing to identify defects and troubleshoot basic machinery.

Associate Responsibilities

• Perform daily manufacturing operations as required, to include:
  • Sewing, repair, cutting, inspect, packing and shipping of products
• Maintain satisfactory quality and production goals and attendance.
• Visually inspect material during the sewing process to identify defects.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures established by the Company.
• Troubleshoot basic machinery problems and request service or repairs as needed.
• Demonstrate and encourage safe work practices at all times.
• Work overtime when necessary.

Required Education

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Required Skills & Experience

• Basic math and reading skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Knowledge of sewing operations and ability to perform sewing operations preferred
