Community Manufacturing Solutions is hiring a Full-Time Sewing Machine Operator in Kingston, NY, on-site. You will operate diverse sewing machinery, sew to precise tolerances, and follow work orders to achieve daily output and quality goals.

Training new operators and performing maintenance tasks are also part of the role, with safety and cleanliness emphasized throughout. The position requires basic manufacturing experience, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing or sewing environment.
• Knowledge of production floor equipment and procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
• Willingness to train new Sewing Machine Operators.

Responsibilities

• Operate various sewing machines including walking foot and lockstitch, serger, and bar tackers.
• Sew products to exact measurements and tolerances (as small as 1/16 inch).
• Adjust thread tension and seam allowances to quality standards.
• Assist in training new Sewing Machine Operators.
• Inspect and repair work as needed and adjust for quality issues.
• Read and follow work orders; meet daily/weekly output and quality goals.
• Maintain safe operations and keep work area clean and organized.
• Ensure accurate sewing times using GUI computer system.
• Perform special tasks such as sewing machine troubleshooting and maintenance as required.
• Additional tasks as assigned by Management.
