Job summary

Haworth is seeking a Sewer I - Conover to join our Conover team. The role involves operating sewing machines, performing quality checks, and producing quality parts to meet blueprints and engineering specs.

Ideal candidates have two years of sewing machine experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and are able to work overtime and rotate across work centers as needed. This position requires lifting up to 50 pounds and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience with operating industrial sewing machines.
• High school graduate or equivalent; up to 12 months on-the-job training.
• Ability to follow specifications and Haworth quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily and weekly production requirements for the department.
• Perform quality checks using precision instruments to ensure Haworth standards.
• Operate single needle, top stitch, or double needle machines as assigned.
• Produce quality sewn sets from fabric and vinyl per specs.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and report safety concerns.
• Rotate through department work centers as needed and work overtime if required.
