Join us in making the world a better place by understanding the present and protecting the future.Position SummaryYour role as a Sewer CCTV Operator – Crossbore involves operating closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspection equipment and robotic systems to assess sewer collection system. You will be responsible for capturing detailed video footage, generating accurate condition reports, and entering inspection data into a GIS database while ensuring consistency, quality, and accuracy. As the crew lead, you will also oversee daily field operations, coordinate with team members to ensure project timelines and safety protocols are met, and support efforts to identify and prevent crossbore risks within sewer and stormwater infrastructure. This position reports directly to the Field Operations Manager and plays a critical role in the integrity and safety of underground utility systems.Hydromax USA Vaccination RequirementThis position requires compliance with Hydromax USA’s vaccination safety program due to potential exposure-related health risks. New hires must either provide documentation of previously completed required vaccinations or complete the required vaccinations within the first 30 days of employment.Required vaccinations include: Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A, and TDAP/Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Acellular Pertussis).Regional & Work Environment ConsiderationsThis role involves working along busy streets, highways, and residential roads, often in high-traffic areas. Crews must follow strict safety protocols and be aware of roadside hazards. Some sites may include embankments, uneven terrain, or wet conditions. Expect outdoor challenges and changing weather conditions. This means adapting to high heat, humidity, sudden storms, and cold temperatures.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead daily safety talks and ensures the safety of the crewManage site maintenance of traffic as appropriate for the location / Follow traffic control protocolLead team in launch inspection and retrieval of robotic camera equipment in sewer pipeline systems for municipal customers.Oversee technicians in daily work while running camera system / advise on proper proceduresRepair and maintain the CCTV camera unit including but not limited to communicating with software vendors for program updates; trouble shoot existing equipment and perform routine camera maintenanceAbility to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on a digital or PDF mapDaily reporting and uploading of data findings to company softwareProficient using computers to utilize inspection software, ArcGIS Online maps, Excel, Word, and emailAccurately complete utility inspections using approved procedures (as trained by the Company)Proficient using simple hand tools and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic equipmentWork in all weather conditions / freely access outdoor worksites in wide-ranging locationsProficient at using current technology; smartphone, tabletTeam player with the ability to meet deadlines, production goals and team objectivesStrong communication skills with other employees, clients and the publicJob Qualifications and Skills:Minimum of 3 months experience as a CCTV OperatorPossess a DOT Medical Certification or ability to obtain oneAbility to pass a thorough background check and pre-employment drug screen required as a condition of employment50+ hours weeklyOutdoor experience preferredMust be able to work in confined spaces, bend, kneel and lift up to 75 poundsAbility to travel 2 to 3 weeks at a time as needed, work weekends and work some nights as travel could be up to 80% of time based on project locations.Proficient using computers to utilize inspection software, ArcGIS Online maps, Excel, Word, and emailDriver Qualifications:Because all field personnel may be required to operate company or DOT-regulated vehicles at any time, maintaining driver eligibility is mandatory. A valid driver’s license and obtaining a medical clearance to drive DOT-regulated vehicles (DOT Medical Certification) is considered an essential function of employment in field operations. Employees must obtain this medical certification within 90 days of hire and maintain it as a condition of continued employment.
