Job summary

Interface is seeking a Setup Technician to manage changeovers of creels and tufting machines, load and unload creels, and follow specification sheets to minimize downtime. This role ensures efficient setup and smooth production flow on the tufting line.

Candidate should possess strong math and communication skills, and prior tufting or textile experience is preferred. A high school diploma or GED is required, and 6S training is a plus within our structured work environment.

Responsibilities

• Locate paperwork and master for next run and place at machine.
• Check next creel set for correct thread-up and stage at tufting machines.
• Cut out creels set and burn in new set.
• Run burns through needles and check for misdraws.

Position summary:

The Setup Technician is responsible for changeovers of creels and tufting machines, as well as loading and unloading creels to service creels and tufting machines, efficiently and in accordance with the specification sheets to ensure minimum downtime.

Educational requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required

Skills and experience:

• Intermediate math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals and percentages required
• Good communication skills, verbal and written
• Previous tufting experience preferred
• Previous textile experience preferrred
• Must have normal color vision or average to above average shade discernment
• Interface White Belt and 6S training preferred
