Job summary

Advance Services, Inc. is seeking a Setup Technician to ensure precision assembly, repair, and maintenance of farm implements, delivering reliable performance for customers' equipment.

You will replace disks, bearings, shafts, chains, and hydraulic parts; perform basic welding and fabrication; and keep accurate service records. A valid driver's license and safety awareness are required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, repair, and maintain farm implements and equipment for optimal functionality.
• Replace components such as disks, harrows, tines, bearings, seed cups, shafts, chains.
• Assemble agricultural equipment with precision.
• Rebuild hydraulic cylinders and replace tires.
• Perform post-rent maintenance, including greasing and seed box cleaning.
• Occasional welding and fabrication to customize or repair equipment.
• Maintain accurate service records for all maintenance and repairs.

Your craftsmanship and technical skills will directly contribute to the success of our customers’ farming operations, combining hands‑on repair, assembly, and maintenance tasks that keep the gears turning in the agricultural industry.

What You’ll Do:

• Set up, repair, and maintain farm implements and equipment to ensure optimal functionality


• Replace components such as disks, harrows, tines, bearings, seed cups, shafts, chains, and more


• Assemble agricultural implements and equipment with precision


• Rebuild hydraulic cylinders to restore hydraulic efficiency


• Replace tires and install tubes on various implements


• Perform post-rent equipment maintenance, including greasing and seed box cleaning


• Execute occasional welding and fabrication to customize or repair equipment


• Maintain accurate service records for all maintenance and repairs

Required Skills:

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in farm equipment repair and assembly


• Proficiency in replacing and repairing parts such as disks, bearings, chains, and hydraulic components


• Ability to perform basic welding and fabrication tasks


• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail


• Ability to follow technical instructions and safety protocols

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with hydraulic system rebuilding and troubleshooting


• Welding certifications or fabrication skills


• Previous experience in a farm equipment or machinery setting


• Familiarity with service record documentation and maintenance logs

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in mechanical or agricultural equipment preferred


• Prior experience in agricultural equipment setup, repair, or a related field is highly desirable

Other Requirements:

• Must be willing to perform physical tasks including lifting and working in varied weather conditions


• Basic understanding of safety procedures related to equipment repair and operation


• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
