Job Summary

The Banquet Set-up Attendant is responsible for setting up and cleaning up banquet functions, monitoring assigned sections during events to ensure all patrons are served. This position has varying shifts, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

• Three to six months of related experience or equivalent training and experience.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to handle difficult or emotional customer situations, respond promptly to customer needs.
• Maintain professionalism and treat others with respect.
• Follow policies and procedures appropriately.
• Adhere to safety and security procedures, report unsafe conditions, use equipment properly.
• Communicate ideas clearly and concisely, verbally or in writing.
• Be punctual and reliable; may occasionally work outside regular hours based on business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide guests with high-quality service in a warm and enthusiastic manner.
• Clean and maintain the banquet area before, during, and after events.
• Ensure banquet rooms are clean, organized, and secure after functions and at the end of shifts.
• Store equipment properly.
• Greet guests upon arrival.
• Maintain standards of food, beverage, and guest service.
• Present menus, answer questions, take orders.
• Prepare food as per recipes.
• Assist in food production as needed.
• Monitor tables to ensure patrons are served.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables.
• Keep the kitchen and wait station tidy and stocked.
• Report tips properly for tax purposes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
