Merrick Bank seeks a Settlement Accountant I to perform daily loan accounting tasks and ensure accurate general ledger entries for credit card and installment loan settlements. You will reconcile suspense accounts, compile reports, and support the settlement team with timely financial processing.

Responsibilities include posting journal entries, preparing wires, and maintaining compliance with internal controls.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma is required.
• One year of accounting or credit card and/or installment loan experience is preferred.
• Excel/Spreadsheet, ten key, and e-mail proficiency are expected.
• Oracle Financial experience is a plus.
• Detail oriented.

Aufgaben

• Prepares and posts daily general ledger entries for credit card and/or installment loan settlement activity.
• Enters daily and monthly journal entries into the general ledger for the settlement team.
• Compiles daily/monthly reports from loan processing systems for the settlement team.
• Reconciles settlement suspense accounts and coordinates with servicing team to clear items.
• Prepares daily settlement related wires as assigned by management.
• Other duties as assigned by Settlement Management.
