Your Tasks

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Set Up Technician/CNC Machinist to join our small team. The role is ideal for a CNC professional who is ready to take on greater responsibility and grow as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities:

General:

  • Monitoring compliance with occupational safety regulations. Proper handling of HazMats.
  • Ensuring order and cleanliness in the production area (using the 5S method).
  • Initiating and monitoring activities to ensure proper equipment conditions.
  • Ensuring a correct shift handover to the subsequent shift, including shift documentation.
  • Execute production specific software tools (e.g. properly executing bookings of raw and finished parts).
  • Participating in daily meetings (e.g. Shopfloor) and informing production management about the current situation.
  • Adhering to environmental and energy aspects (identifying weaknesses and initiating corrective measures, e.g. fixing compressed air leaks/oil leaks).
  • Support assembly and packaging, preparing customer deliveries and logistic operation.

Machine Operation:

  • Performing dimensional corrections in collaboration with supervisor.
  • Performing maintenance tasks, repairs, troubleshooting in accordance with qualifications, including fluids.
  • Monitoring planned production quantities. Ensuring the availability of materials for assembly.
  • Recording quantities produced and process disruptions.

Tool Management

  • Conducting tool presetting, changes and replacements.

Quality

  • Perform CMM measurements and SPC measurements according to inspection plans and measurement programs.
  • Initiating and monitoring activities to ensure quality and audit compliance.
  • Ensuring compliance with production requirements (e.g. initial part release, adherence to work instructions).
  • Inspection of material received.
Your Profile

Qualifications:

  • Familiar with measurement procedures.
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in machining / manufacturing preferred.
  • 2+ years of hands-on CNC machine experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment. Experience with CNC Machines, Robot Automation Cells, and Siemens Controls is preferred.
  • Experience with quality control procedures and the use of precision measuring instruments is essential. Experience with Zeiss CMM preferred.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with machining processes.
  • Ability to use hand tools, forklifts, and gantry cranes.
  • Willingness to learn and develop.
  • Willingness to support other operation procedures (Quality, Washing, assembly, shipping).
