Job summary

HellermannTyton is seeking a Set-Up Technician to install and service molds on presses, ensure clean and organized work areas, and uphold quality and EHS certifications.

Responsibilities include mold changes, wiring water lines, shutting down equipment properly, and assisting in training staff. Candidates should be able to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for long shifts, and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools.
• Ability to read and understand diagrams.
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and push up to 120 lbs.
• Able to stand for long shifts and work overtime/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Housekeeping and return of unused supplies to appropriate locations.
• Removal of all parts from previous job(s).
• Proper tying up of water lines so they do not rub/burst.
• Proper shutdown of machines and use of purge compounds.
• Assist in maintaining certifications by following policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.
• Be active in presenting problems/potential problems to the Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Lead Manufacturing Supervisor, the Set-Up Technician is responsible for using tools & overhead cranes to complete mold changes, rehangs, as well as pull molds for repairs and conversions. The Set-Up Techs will make follow all set-up procedures and make sure they leave the area neat, clean and organized. This will be achieved by maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.

Essential Functions

• Proper installation and watering of all molds on all presses.
• Housekeeping; including return of unused supplies and auxiliary equipment to appropriate locations.
• Removal of all parts from previous job(s).
• Proper tying up of water lines so that they do not rub/burst.
• Proper shutdown of machines, including using the correct purge compound
• Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton's certifications by supporting: Corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, andrequired documentation.

Other Functions

• Be active in presenting problems/potential problems to the Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Success in this role will require

• Working knowledge of mold set up.

• Have a thorough understanding of the effects of water flow on the molds.
• Thorough knowledge of production procedures and work instructions.
• Thorough knowledge of the operation of all auxiliary equipment.
• Ability to read water maps, water tools, properly purge machines & operate forklifts
