Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent with good mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Knowledgeable about SPC and production processes; safety training completed.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, change molds, monitor machines and adjust equipment.
  • Ensure materials meet quality requirements.
  • Monitor machine functions and coordinate with Maintenance as needed.
  • Use SPC charts to monitor processes and ensure quality.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF-16949 requirements.
  • Troubleshoot process problems and implement improvements.
  • Assist testing of new products and set process parameters.
  • Perform TPM and basic machine repairs as needed.
  • Fabricate improvements using maintenance equipment.
  • Seek opportunities for kaizen and process optimization.
  • Perform changeovers and ensure setup per manuals.
  • Support the department and improve 5S conditions.

DMNC Set Up Technician - Blow Molding, 3rd Shift

Core Hours: 11:00pm - 7:00am

  • A RESUME IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION
Responsibilities:
  • Sets up, changes molds, monitors, and makes adjustments to machines and accessory equipment.
  • Ensures that all materials meet quality requirements.
  • Monitors machine functions to ensure proper operation. Makes adjustments and involves the Maintenance Department, when necessary.
  • Uses SPC charts and related documentation to monitor processes.
  • Ensures compliance with all IATF-16949 requirements.
  • Troubleshoots process problems.
  • Assists with the testing of new products and sets new process parameters.
  • Performs TPM and machine repairs, as necessary.
  • Uses maintenance equipment to fabricate and make improvements.
  • Continuously looks for opportunities for process improvements/kaizens.
  • Performs changeovers and ensures the machine is set to the set-up manual.
  • Supports the department as necessary and works to improve 5S conditions.
  • May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Quality/ Environmental Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Follows all procedures and work instructions and make recommendations to improve the process.
  • Notifies Leader immediately upon detecting any non-conformances.
  • Records all non-conformances to ensure corrective action and preventative measures are taken and assist in the problem solving process.
  • Communicates and practices DENSO’s Quality and Environmental Management Systems. Takes an active role in achieving and maintaining IATF-16949 and ISO-14001.
Knowledge, Skills and Education Required:
  • High School diploma or equivalent and a good mechanical aptitude as demonstrated the completion of vocational training.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively with others.
  • Knowledgeable on SPC and production processes.
  • Successful completion of technical training, including Lock-Out Tag-Out.
  • Machine troubleshooting skills.
  • Forklift experience may be required.
Working Conditions:

Plant environment, working with automated machinery. Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes are required. Position requires standing, walking and may be required to move, lift or carry objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
