Job summary

Dauch Corporation in Gallipolis, OH is seeking a Set Up & Operate Machines – Forge operator. You will run presses and forge equipment, set up for processing parts, inspect parts for conformance, and perform autonomous maintenance in a safety-focused environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, ability to read English, and basic problem-solving skills. You will work with the Genie Boom and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, keeping the work area clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow directions and read standard work instructions.
• Knowledge of LEAN tools and basic problem-solving methods (Root Cause, 5-Why).
• Experience operating office equipment (PC, calculator, copier).
• Strong English reading/writing skills and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines, presses and related forge equipment.
• Visually inspect parts for dimensional conformance and finish.
• Set up and adjust equipment for processing parts; perform changeovers.
• Monitor safety and quality checks (dimensions, surface, flash).
• Perform autonomous maintenance and complete operator paperwork.
• Load equipment and drive Genie Boom safely; charge batteries as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement and training; keep area clean and organized.

## Set Up & Operate Machines - ForgeApply: Gallipolis, OH: Full time: Posted Today: JREQ-225040**Job Posting Title**Set Up & Operate Machines - Forge**Job Description Summary**Set Up and Operate Machines - Forge**Job Description:**Key Responsibilities:* Follow all health, safety and environmental practices and preventative measures.* Follow rules and procedures as required.* Responsible for the operation of machines, presses, hand grinders and/or other types of equipment used to produce powdered metal products.* Visually inspect parts for rust, dimensional conformance, etc.* As required, set-up equipment for processing parts* As required, adjust assigned equipment for processing parts.* As required, monitor safety and conduct quality checks, i.e. dimensional features, surface finished, flatness, flash, etc.* Perform autonomous maintenance.* Follow instructions on standard work in regard to operation of machines, presses etc.* Complete operator paperwork, GQS, on each shift.* Complete changeovers as required to perform job.* Load equipment, presses, etc.* Drive Genie Boom in a safe manner as required.* Charge Genie Boom truck batteries as required on electric fork truck.* Actively participate in Continuous Improvement and perform them as scheduled.* Participate in training as required.* Clean during and end of shift as required to include picking up lose parts.* Maintain work area and equipment in a neat and orderly fashion.* Complete records and forms as required and instructional documents.
