ABOUT THE ROLE

The Set‑Up Laborer is responsible for preparing and installing various materials into production molds prior to concrete pouring. This role ensures all components are properly placed and secured to meet pre-pour quality inspection standards and production specifications. The Set‑Up Laborer plays a key role in supporting efficient workflow by verifying mold readiness and helping maintain a safe, organized production environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Prepare and install assorted materials in production molds prior to concrete pouring.
  • Ensure all components are correctly placed according to specifications for pre‑pour quality inspection.
  • Assist in staging molds and materials to support efficient production flow.
  • Verify the readiness of forms and embedded items before concrete placement.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and production efficiency.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a dependable, safety‑focused team player who is comfortable working in a physically demanding, hands‑on production environment. The ideal candidate has basic math and measurement skills, can read a tape measure accurately, and is willing to learn new equipment and processes. This individual is flexible, reliable, and able to work extended hours in varying conditions while supporting multiple departments as needed.

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE
  • High school diploma or GED required; prior construction or building trades experience helpful but not required.
  • Basic math skills with the ability to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Ability to learn to read shop tickets and interpret measurements and hardware applications.
  • Willingness to learn and operate an overhead gantry crane.
  • Flexible to work extended shifts (10‑13 hours), varied schedules, and across multiple departments as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use.
  • Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours.
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently.
  • Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards.
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (Depending on location).
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
