Job Description

The program is Department of Labor certified, combines 2,000 hours of on-the-job training with two classes at Grand Rapids Community College and provides an Extruder Operator Certificate upon completion. Apprentice positions will get periodic increases throughout the program. Custom Profile is a growing company with opportunities for advancement. Our Set-Up Operator position will report to the Extrusion Supervisor; employees are responsible for performing all tasks involved in the production of Custom Profile’s products. Employees will follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Set-Up operators will work with other Set-Up Operators, Line Operators and Lead Operators to achieve our goal of zero defects, 100% on-time delivery and completing production requirements in a timely manner within assigned business units.
