Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Servicing Support Specialist to manage mortgage default servicing files, including title defects, contested matters, probate cases, and foreclosure-related issues. Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze mortgage loan files involving title defects, contested matters, foreclosure-related issues, probate cases, and other specialized servicing situations.
  • Research file documentation and identify issues requiring resolution to support loan servicing and foreclosure processes.
  • Partner with internal Legal teams, business partners, and external law firms to obtain information, resolve file exceptions, and drive appropriate outcomes.
  • Evaluate recommendations received from external counsel and perform independent analysis to determine next steps.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within servicing systems and repositories.
  • Monitor assigned caseload and ensure timely completion of action items and critical milestones.
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders regarding file status, resolution strategies, and documentation requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and risk management requirements governing mortgage servicing operations.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute ideas that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall team performance.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment to support business objectives and workload management.

Job Description


The Servicing Support Specialist supports the Mortgage Default Servicing organization by managing mortgage loan files involving title-related issues, contested foreclosure matters, probate cases, statute of limitations concerns, evictions, and other specialized servicing activities. This role partners with internal business partners, Legal, and external counsel to research complex issues, identify appropriate resolutions, and ensure timely progression of mortgage servicing actions.



Successful candidates will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to evaluate complex mortgage-related documentation while balancing compliance, risk, and operational requirements.



Location expectations


This role requires working from one of the following U.S. Bank locations three (3) or more days per week: 2800 Tamarack Rd Owensboro, KY OR 1255 Corporate Dr Irving, TX 75038

Basic Qualifications



  • Five or more years of experience in administrative support activities.



Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Mortgage servicing, mortgage default, foreclosure, bankruptcy, loss mitigation, title, or related mortgage operations experience.

  • Understanding of mortgage documents, property ownership records, and title-related matters.

  • Knowledge of judicial and non-judicial foreclosure processes.

  • Experience reviewing legal, mortgage, or servicing documentation.

  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to independently investigate issues and determine appropriate resolution paths.

  • Experience working with attorneys, law firms, title companies, or legal support functions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally across multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload and competing priorities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

  • Proven adaptability and openness to change in a fast-paced operational setting.

  • Experience identifying opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.

Pay Range: $20.87 - $27.84
