Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Services Specialist - Commissioning to own field testing, validation, and calibration activities on customer sites. The role requires traveling 65–80% and managing tests within defined contracts and safety guidelines.

The position favors candidates with a high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of field maintenance experience, plus exposure to LV electrical troubleshooting and networking basics. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

As a Field Services Specialist, you will be responsible for all resources and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' sites/properties. These activities contribute to maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing sold or existing products.

As a Services Specialist, you will be responsible for:
  • Handling all activities related to the testing and validation of equipment, facility, or plant in accordance with the design objectives or specifications for operational use.
  • Communicating effectively the findings and recommendations via reports and verbal communication.
  • Maintaining calibration of specialized tools.
  • Handling standardized project processes and guidelines for choosing the right actions.
  • Relaying and implementing the processes and procedures that are frequently updated by other functions
  • Working on the basis of predefined contracts and frameworks
To be successful in this role, you will:
  • Have High school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience with field maintenance ideally in an industrial environment
  • Have experience in Low Voltage electrical troubleshooting.
  • Have been exposed to general networking practices/architectures.
  • Have been able to travel 65-80% of the time both by vehicle and air travel depending on location.
  • Have computer literacy skills including Microsoft Office suite and Windows Operating Systems.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, applied engineering or technology.

The annual pay scale for this position is between $68,520.00 - $147,280.00.

Candidates for this role (office-based/ hybrid/ remote) must be located in or near the locations displayed above. The pay range/scale displayed above represents Baker Hughes' good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position at the time of this posting and applies to the possible locations for this position. Baker Hughes will issue a non-bias competitive offer; the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hires, full-time salaries in some U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. Where an applicant will ultimately fall within the pay range/scale depends on a variety of factors, including, for example, geographic work location, skillset, qualifications, internal pay alignment, level of experience, and demonstrated performance over time. Please keep in mind that the range stated above is the full base salary range for the role and does not include other forms of compensation.
