Job summary

TransChicago Truck Group is seeking a Porter to support the Service department by maintaining the yard, checking in customer vehicles, and transporting trucks or customers. Working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, you will help keep vehicles organized and ready for service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift capabilities, and a safe driving record. CDL is preferred; prior auto/truck industry knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL preferred.
• Able to safely operate forklift equipment.
• Preferable prior experience and/or knowledge of the auto/truck industry.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Clean driving record.
• One plus years industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform yard checks as needed.
• Jumpstart vehicles on the premises when needed.
• Assist the Service Advisors with checking in vehicles and equipment.
• Document and verify customer vehicle information and park in assigned area.
• Deliver customers to home or office; and deliver customer’s trucks when required.
• Various other duties as assigned
