Service Writer for Mobile Automotive Repair

Las Vegas, NV

This is a fast-growing, high-volume mobile mechanic business providing convenient, on-site automotive repairs and maintenance. Our mission is to deliver honest, efficient, and professional vehicle care—right at our customers' doorsteps. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Service Writer to help us keep operations smooth and clients happy.

Job Summary:

As a Service Writer, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact between customers and our mobile technicians. You’ll be responsible for coordinating service appointments, preparing estimates, communicating job details, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Serve as the liaison between customers and mobile technicians
2. Schedule service appointments and dispatch mobile mechanics
3. Gather and input customer and vehicle information accurately
4. Prepare service estimates and work orders using shop software
5. Explain services, repairs, and estimates to customers in a clear and honest manner
6. Follow up on work-in-progress and keep customers informed
7. Handle incoming calls, texts, and online inquiries
8. Process payments and assist with invoicing
9. Maintain organized records of service history and customer communication
10. Support technicians with parts ordering and job coordination

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Service Writer, Service Advisor, or in a customer-facing automotive role
2. Strong communication and organizational skills
3. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple phone calls at once
4. Familiarity with automotive terminology and repair processes is a MUST
5. Comfortable with scheduling, invoicing, and software systems
6. Reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-first mindset
7. Valid driver’s license (a plus if you can assist in delivering vehicles or parts)

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with mobile repair or dispatch services
2. Knowledge of auto repair shop management software (e.g., Shopmonkey, Mitchell1)
3. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
4. Well-mannered with a friendly personality to create a welcoming environment.
