The Estimator II provides accurate vehicle repair estimates for mobile on-site fleet service for light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Prepares all relevant estimate paperwork, collaborates with procurement/purchasing to obtain parts and pricing information, and works with maintenance teams to ensure work is performed as required. Monitors work processes and outcomes for quality and adherence to estimated timelines and costs.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performs basic estimation duties based on information from Mobile Technicians and Customers.
2. Monitors repair status, timelines, and customer communications related to estimates.
3. Maintains records of repair details and completes necessary paperwork.
4. Follows up on outstanding quotes and prioritizes workflow.
5. Develops positive relationships with estimation team members, stakeholders, and customers.
6. Provides excellent customer service for internal and external calls.
7. Acts as a trustworthy advocate for customers, providing guidance on technical inquiries.
8. Reviews, revises, and generates additional repair estimates per customer requests.
9. Follows managerial duties and directions.
10. Collects pricing information from manufacturers and vendors.
11. Continuously improves dispatching and service scheduling capabilities.
12. Assists with other duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in service advisement, maintenance coordination, technician dispatching, or related roles.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and repair estimate software.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly, and handle multiple projects.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience as an estimator in a diesel vehicle service department or dealership.
• Proficiency with Mitchell One or similar systems.

OTHER INFORMATION:

• Pre-employment drug testing required.
• Hourly pay ranges from $17.40 to $26.06, with potential additional compensation.
