Saia Motor Freight Line LLC in Maryland is seeking a results‑driven Maintenance Service Writer to coordinate shop and field repairs, schedule work, and keep downtime to a minimum.

You will process work orders, communicate with customers for service needs and estimates, track progress, and maintain detailed records using diagnostic software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of maintenance, service writing, or related experience.
• Knowledge of transportation and diagnostic software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Schedules repairs and coordinates work for shop and field service personnel.
• Facilitates timely processing of work orders and maintains efficient workflow.
• Communicates with customers to clarify service needs and provide accurate estimates.
• Tracks and monitors service progress to ensure efficiency.
• Prepares and maintains detailed records of service activities.
• Monitors electronic driver vehicle inspection reports and schedules necessary repairs.
• Coordinates with internal shops and outside vendors to schedule, approve, and expedite repairs.
• Runs daily and weekly preventative maintenance reports and schedules routine maintenance.
