Job summary

Ring Power Corporation in Florida seeks a skilled technician to perform maintenance and repair tasks on equipment in a safe, compliant manner. You will interpret structural drawings, disassemble and assemble components to manufacturer specifications, and weld as needed.

You'll maintain tools, keep records of repairs, monitor costs, and participate in training and mentoring teammates while upholding safety, quality, and cleanliness standards in a dynamic shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Conducts all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to safety, environmental and contamination control policies, wearing proper PPE.
• Attends and completes required technician training classes and stays aware of technical changes in the industry.
• Maintains minimum tool set to disassemble and assemble machine components per manufacturer specifications.
• Interprets structural drawings to perform layout and assembly with minimal supervision; prepares parts for welding and performs welding as per experience or procedure.
• Works neatly, seeks methods to improve work, area and safety standards, maintains shop by following contamination controls and housekeeping.
• Documents repairs and repair times using appropriate software; tracks expenses vs estimates and flags cost overruns to supervisor.
• Contributes to team by completing tasks on time, trains or mentors others in the department.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Job RoleConducts all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations. Wears proper personal protective equipment.

Attends and successfully completes required technician training classes. Maintains high awareness of applicable technical changes in the industry.

Maintains a minimum set of tools required for job performance to disassemble and assemble machine components to manufacturer’s specifications.

Capable of interpreting structural drawings and demonstrate the ability to perform layout and assembly functions from these drawings with minimum supervision. Prepares parts or materials to be welded and performs the appropriate welding for the needed repair as per experience or specified procedure.

Works in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways of improving the methods of work, work area, and safety standards. Assists with maintaining proper facility appearance and shop conditions by following proper contamination control guidelines, including housekeeping, and performing other general maintenance duties.

Completes required documentation utilizing appropriate software to document repairs performed on equipment, and accounting for repair times.

Monitors job expenses versus repair estimates and ensures that the supervisor is aware of any cost overrun, prior to the job being completed.

Approaches work in a positive manner and maintains conduct that is supportive of the work Team. Contributes to Team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations. Trains and/or mentors others in department.
