Job summary

Porsche of Fairfield is seeking a reliable Porter to support showroom and lot operations. The role involves moving vehicles, managing keys, assisting with inventory paperwork, and maintaining a clean, orderly work area in a fast-paced dealership setting.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least six months of related experience. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required is expected.

Responsibilities

• Drives vehicles to and from showroom and lots to designated locations.
• Ensures documentation such as window stickers, manuals, and promos are placed in vehicles.
• Creates and manages vehicle keys and tags.
• Delivers keys and materials between departments on request.
• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Performs cleaning of vehicles (dust, vacuum, wipe).
• Keeps vehicle lot(s) neat and organized.
• Maintains cleanliness of the designated department.
• Shuttles customers as needed.
• Fuels vehicles as required.
• Operates tools and equipment safely.
• Uses eye and body protection when handling materials requiring protection.
• Follows work rules and company policies.
• Maintains attendance, punctuality, and timekeeping.
• Follows directions from supervisors.
• Upholds NDAs and confidentiality policies.

Job description

Summary/Objective
The Porter keeps designated department area and outside vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars in accordance with company and manufactures' policies and assisting with inventory paperwork among other duties.

Essential Functions

• Drives vehicles to and from showroom, exterior vehicle display areas, service department, parking garage or other storage areas to designated location as needed to maintain inventory and assist customers and other dealership employees in retrieval of vehicles
• Ensures all required documentation is placed in vehicles, including but not limited to window stickers, manuals, promotional materials
• Creates key tags for vehicles, organizes and maintains keys for new, used and loaner vehicles
• Delivers keys and other materials various departments on request
• Greets customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Performs general cleanup of vehicles including dusting, vacuuming, wiping and rinsing
• Keeps vehicle lot(s) neat and organized
• Maintains cleanliness of designated department
• Shuttles customers as needed
• Fills vehicle with fuel
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Uses proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection
• Understands and follows work rules and procedures

Preferred Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent; six months or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid driver's license
Individuals under the age of eighteen (18) may not drive vehicles off of the dealership premises.
