The role involves driving up to 60% during outage season, performing PDIs and routine maintenance when not driving. CDL or higher is required, with DOT medical card kept current, and a willingness to work full-time, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• One year of mechanical experience preferred.
• Hold a valid Class B CDL or higher.
• Maintain a current DOT medical card and meet DOT requirements.
• Experience as a diesel, heavy truck, or heavy equipment mechanic.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Must provide standard hand tools up to 1½ inches; specialty tools provided by the company.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

The Service Technician with Class B CDL is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vacuum trucks, tankers, and related heavy equipment. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality service in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Job Functions

• Diagnose and repair vacuum trucks, tankers, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Service diesel engines, pumps, and vacuum systems.
• Complete work orders and process parts requests.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Pick up and deliver trucks as needed, with driving accounting for up to 60% of the role during outage season.
• Perform service work when not driving, including PDIs, oil changes, and other maintenance within your experience.
• Hold a valid Class B CDL or higher.
• A CDL is required for this position.
• Maintain a current DOT medical card and meet applicable DOT requirements.
• One year of mechanical experience is preferred.
• Experience as a diesel, heavy truck, or heavy equipment mechanic.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment and read technical schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Vacuum truck repair experience is a plus; training is available for the right candidate.
• Certified Diesel Mechanic credentials preferred.
• Must provide standard hand tools up to 1½ inches.
• Specialty and oversized tools are provided by the company.
