Job summary

Allegion's Stanley Access Technologies in Kentucky seeks a service technician to maintain and repair automatic door systems. You'll perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and ensure safe operation for customers.

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Clean Driving Record & Valid Driver's License.
  • Frequently going up and down ladders.
  • Standing on Concrete several hours a day.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, crouch, kneel or crawl, twisting spine.
  • Ability to work in various climates.
  • Ability to work overhead.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry weight up to 50-75lbs.
  • Flexible work schedule is a must: nights/weekends/on call.

Responsibilities

  • Service and perform preventative maintenance for Stanley Automatic Door Operating Equipment and related electro/mechanical gear.
  • Perform service and repair work in a profitable and proper manner.
  • Record productive time vs travel time.
  • Perform preventive maintenance per the designated service program for each customer.
  • Maintain all work records and parts used per procedure.
  • Stay updated on changes to Stanley equipment and ANSI 156.10 standards.
  • Keep manuals and details up to date as changes are advised.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and property.
  • Maintain adequate parts inventory and inventory log.
  • Maintain good customer relations and service quality.
  • Assist and instruct others in installation/service methods.

Service Technician – Stanley Access Technologies - Kentucky (Louisville or Lexington area)

What You Will Do:
  • To service and perform preventative maintenance as required for Stanley Automatic Door Operating Equipment and other electro/mechanical equipment as may be sold or serviced by the branch.
  • Perform service and repair work as designated in profitable and proper manner.
  • Record productive time versus travel time.
  • Perform preventive maintenance work in accordance with service program designated for specific customer.
  • Maintain accurately all work records and parts used at each job in accordance with established procedure.
  • Keep updated on all changes/modifications to Stanley equipment and Ansi156.10 standard as notified through published communications.
  • Keep manuals and all details up to date as changes are advised.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and other property in proper manner.
  • Maintain adequate parts inventory for service vehicle; keep inventory log.
  • Maintain good customer relations and customer service.
  • Assist and instruct others in install / service methods.
What You Need To Succeed:
  • HS Diploma or Equivalent is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Additional Preferred Skills & Knowledge:
  • Prior experience servicing automated doors.
  • Prior experience in the Construction Field installing door frames and windows.
  • Associates Degree in related electrical, mechanical, industrial field preferred.
  • Prior experience in the Electrical, Automotive, HVAC, or Communication Field a plus.
  • Prior experience as a Glazier installing glass doors or windows and carpentry experience a plus.
