Bird Kultgen Ford is seeking a Service Technician (Ford Certified or aiming to become certified) to join our growing team in Central Texas. The candidate should have a solid service technician background and perform repair orders, diagnostics, and vehicle maintenance with a focus on customer communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills; able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
• Positive, friendly attitude with eagerness to improve.
• Enjoys dynamic environments and collaborates well with others.
• Ability to learn new technology, repairs, and specifications.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and AC.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional needed repairs and provide time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
