Bowser Automotive Inc. seeks a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain customer and dealership vehicles in a fast-paced shop environment.

You will inspect systems, perform tests, and complete repairs with high-quality workmanship, while communicating with advisors and customers. The ideal candidate holds PA State Inspection and Emissions Licenses, a valid driver’s license, and strong diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

• Prior automotive technician experience preferred.
• Possess PA State Inspection and Emissions Licenses.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Demonstrated diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles.
• Test vehicle systems and components for proper operation.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with computerized equipment.
• Perform maintenance services (oil changes, brakes, tires, etc.).
• Replace worn or defective parts and document repairs.
• Maintain repair orders and service documentation.
• Communicate needs with Service Advisors and Management.
• Explain repairs to customers when needed.
• Follow safety policies and state regulations.

Bowser Automotive is looking for a motivated and experienced Service Technician to join our team. If you enjoy diagnosing problems, performing quality repairs, and working in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

As a Service Technician, you will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain customer and dealership vehicles while delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional service. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to staying current with today's automotive technology.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
• Test vehicle systems and components to ensure proper operation.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Complete repairs efficiently and accurately while following manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Perform maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, tune-ups, suspension work, air conditioning service, engine repairs, and transmission service.
• Replace or repair worn, damaged, or defective parts.
• Complete multi-point inspections and document repair recommendations.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation.
• Communicate repair needs with Service Advisors and Service Management.
• Explain vehicle concerns or repair recommendations to customers when necessary.
• Maintain current Pennsylvania State Inspection and Emissions licenses and complete all required manufacturer and dealership training.
• Follow all OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
• Adhere to all Bowser Automotive safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout an 8-hour workday.
• Lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to work in a shop environment with varying temperatures.
